Nowadays, the consumer has more choices than ever when it comes to 7 passenger vehicles, SUVs, Crossovers, Minivans, you name it. However, more available options often make it more difficult to make a choice. Here we will try and build a comprehensive list of the vehicles that fit this category, and are available on the market today. We will also list their basic features and specs, and as many reviews as we can possibly find.

Best 7 Passenger Cars / 7 Passenger Vehicles

One common question is “what are the best 7 passenger cars?”
This is a tough question to answer because it largely depends on your individual needs and preferences. Do you like SUVs, Crossovers or Minivans? How much money are you willing to spend for a new vehicle and what kind of features are you looking for.

Nevertheless, below are 4 of the 7 passenger vehicles that at least in my opinion stand out (without including any luxury models).

Buick Enclave

2011 Buick Enclave CX-L - 7 Passenger SUV

The 2011 Buick Enclave is a full-size SUV that of course offers 3rd row seating and can seat up to 8 passengers (with the optional second row bench). Some of its main advantages are the powerful V6 engine that offers a smooth ride, the well built interior and the great safety ratings. The MSRP for the base model is $35,865.

It is available in three trims, the CX, CXL1 and CXL2. All three trims are available with FWD and AWD and are equipped with the same 3.6Liter V6 engine and 6-speed automatic transmission. The engine produces 288hp of horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque.

Even the base model is very well equipped and has features such as 19″ alloy wheels, three zone climate control, auxiliary MP3 audio input, XM satellite radio, front fog lights, plenty of storage spaces and much more.

Mazda CX-9

Mazda cx-9
The 2011 Mazda CX-9 is a midsize Crossover that offers plenty of space both for the passengers and for their belongings. It has a sporty design, is fun to drive and the interior build quality is very good according to most reviewers. Finally it has a decent fuel efficiency for its category. The MSRP for the base model is $29,135.

It is available in three trim levels (Sport, Touring and Grand Touring) and all of them share the same 3.7L V6 engine that pumps out 273 hp @ 6250 rpm and 270 pound-feet of torque. A 6-speed automatic transmission is the only available option. Finally, all trims are available with FWD or AWD.

The majority of the reviews praise its interior and note that a lot of attention have been given to details. The CX-9 can comfortably seat up to seven passengers and the third row seat is roomy enough even for adults.

Chevrolet Tahoe

The 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe is a large SUV that can seat up to 9 passengers. It has one of the best fuel economy ratings compared to other large SUVs and according to most reviewers it offers a very comfortable ride for its size. The MSRP for the base model is $37,980

Honda Odyssey

The newly redesigned 2011 Honda Odyssey is an 8 passenger minivan by Honda. Some of its strong points include good performance, roomy well built interior, good safety ratings and of course fuel efficiency. The MSRP for the base model is $28,075.
