One common question is “what are the best 7 passenger vehicles?”
This is a tough question to answer because it largely depends on your individual needs and preferences. Do you like SUVs, Crossovers or Minivans? How much money are you willing to spend for a new vehicle and what kind of features are you looking for?

Nevertheless, below are some of the 7 passenger vehicles that stand out for one or another reason.

2014 Dodge Grand Caravan – Most Affordable 7 Passenger Vehicle

2014 Dodge Grand Caravan Affordable 7 Passenger Vehicle

The 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan is the most affordable 7-seater on the market. The base American Value Package trim has a starting price of $20,895. That does not mean that it lacks features or that it has a sub-par performance. On the contrary, its 3.6-liter V6 engine makes 283HP. A very good performance, especially for a Minivan.

The feature that reviewers almost unanimously praised is the flexibility of the interior. The Super Stow ‘n Go system allows you to choose between 81 different seating and storage combinations. Another feature that makes the Grand Caravan stand out, is the number of storage bins and compartments.

Of course, it has its disadvantages too. Although the interior offers versatility and focuses on usability is less refined compared to most competitors. Also, some reviewers note that it is not as smooth as they would like.

Nonetheless, like KBB notes, if you need a vehicle to carry a lot of people and cargo and your budget is limited, then the 2014 Grand Caravan should be on the top of your list.

The 2015 Buick Enclave is a midsize SUV that offers 3rd row seating and can seat up to 7 passengers, or 8 with an optional upgrade. Some of its main advantages are the powerful V6 engine that offers a smooth ride, the well built interior, the great safety ratings and the large cargo space. The MSRP for the base model is $38,950.

It is available in six different trims, the FWD Convenience, AWD Connvenience, FWD Leather, AWD Leather, FWD Premium and AWD Premium. All trims are equipped with the same 3.6L Variable Valve Timing V6 engine with SIDI and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The engine produces 288hp of horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque.

One thing that most reviewers don’t like about the Enclave is its fuel economy. According to, the FWD trims have an MPG rating of 17city/22highway and the AWD trims 16city/22highway.

2014 Mitsubishi Outlander – Most Affordable and Fuel Efficient 7 Passenger Crossover SUV

2014 Outlander 7 passenger SUV
The 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander stands out due to its fuel economy and price. The starting price of the base ES trim is $22,995 and has an impressive MPG rating (for the category) of 25city/31highway. The engine powering the Outlander is a 2.4-liter 4 cylinder.

The good fuel economy comes at the expense of performance, something that a lot of reviewers note negatively. If you want more power, then you can choose the top of the line GT trim that comes with a 3.0 liter V6 engine. However, in this case the fuel economy drops to 20city/28highway.

2014 Ford Flex – 7-Seater with a Unique Style

2014 Ford Flex

It is available in five trims (SE, SEL, SEL AWD, Limited and Limited AWD). The base 3.5L Ti-VCT V6 Engine that comes standard with all trims produces 287 hp. However there is also also and optional upgrade (Limited trims only) for the 3.5L EcoBoost® V6 Engine that produces a whooping 365 HP. The standard transmission is a Six-Speed Automatic Transmission.

The majority of the reviews praise its interior and note that a lot of attention have been given to the materials used, some reviewers even describe them as luxury grade. The 2014 Flex can comfortably seat up to seven passengers and the third row seat is roomy enough even for adults.
