2011 Buick Enclave – At a Glance
The 2011 Buick Enclave is a large 7 passenger car that is available in 3 trim models: CX, CXL1, and CXL2. There is an optional second row bench seat to increase capacity to eight passengers that is available at no charge. The base model, CX, features power lift gate, cloth upholstery, 19 inch alloy wheels, Bluetooth, an audio system with six speakers with both CD and MP3, and more. The MSRP for the base model starts at $35,865.
Standard Features and Options
The CXL1 adds heated power front seats, rear parking sensors, and leather upholstery. The MSRP for the CXL1 starts at $38,980. The CXL2 adds a power tilt and telescoping steering wheel, a surround sound audio system with 10 speakers that features a USB audio Jack, and active headlights. The MSRP for the CXL2 model starts at $42,345.
The available options for the CX include rear parking sensors, backup camera, and Bose stereo. The CXL trims can add an additional entertainment system for the rear, a sunroof, towing preparation package, and a navigation system.
Engine and Transmission
The 2011 Buick Enclave offers front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The engine is a 3.6 L V6 that produces 288 HP and 270 pound-feet of torque. The 6 speed automatic transmission is standard equipment. Buick Enclave’s engine gets 17 mpg in city driving and 24 mpg in the highway for the front-wheel drive models. The all-wheel-drive models get 16 miles per gallon in the city and 22 miles per gallon on the highway. This vehicle tows up to 4500 pounds when equipped with the optional trailering package.
Safety Ratings
The 2011 Buick Enclave earned a top five star rating for overall performance in the governments new more serious crash testing that started it 2011. It received 4/5 stars for front impact protection and five stars for side-impact protection. For the Insurance Institute for Highway safety testing the Enclave received the best score in frontal – offset and side impact crash tests.
